I’m Paul Elwell, and I travel!

I wasn’t always this way. In a previous life I was a totally immersed in corporate life. It’s good money, but it’s also soul-sucking. At least for me it was.

Now I’m self-employed and while I still do work with corporations, and I don’t work for a corporation.

For a couple of decades I ignored my life-long desire to travel. Not any more. This website documents some of my many worldwide journeys. I hope that from these pages you’ll get some information useful to your next vacation. You’ll also find plenty of information on my other passions — genealogical research, health, nutrition and exercise. I discuss what it takes to maintain healthy skin and a healthy brain, and so much more.

Brain health refers to the ability of the brain to perform all its essential functions, including thinking, memory, learning, concentration, and emotional regulation, effectively and consistently throughout life. Maintaining brain health is influenced by various factors such as diet, physical activity, mental stimulation, sleep quality, stress management, brain supplements (nootropics). A healthy brain supports overall well-being and helps prevent cognitive decline as we age. Key components of brain health include neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to adapt and form new neural connections, and cognitive reserve, the brain’s capacity to resist damage. By adopting a lifestyle that nurtures these aspects, we can protect our brain’s function and promote long-term mental sharpness.
